| This activity introduces students to the concept of using proportional reasoning to estimate the size of an animal population. Students determine the ratio of tagged animals in their population. This information is aggregated for the class and the whole "unknown" population is calculated. | |
| Students then use the Constant feature to perform calculations for other populations in real-world contexts. |
