| In this activity, students will dissolve a sugar cube in a beaker of water. They will do this for three different water temperatures. The CBL 2 will record the temperature of the water before the sugar cube is dropped in and the time it took for the sugar to dissolve. | |
| Students will record the data they have collected and then graph it as a scatter plot. They will also have the calculator fit a linear function to data. Using the line and the scatter plot students will analyze how water temperature affects the dissolving time. This activity includes a TI-Navigator extension that can be used to explore a line of best fit. |
