| In this activity, students record the height and stride length of each student in the classroom and use the information to identify the person to left muddy footprints on the floor. |

| Once the data is collected, students will set up and display a scatter plot showing stride length vs height. | 
|
| Finding the linear regression of their data, students can predict the stride length of any person, based on their height. A discussion of the correlation coefficient is included in the activity. |
